um and so last episode was my solo episode in the studio where i talked out of song of songs chapter eight about are you a wall or a door and just to sort of set it up about who are you as a woman of god and i want to continue this conversation and get a bit practical today and kind of explore this essential skill we need in how do we make good decisions? Because this decision, second to becoming a Christian and choosing Jesus, who you date and who you marry is the most life altering decision you'll make.

And so here we are on the Lancaster podcast speaking to our listeners about, well, the topic or the title is Choose Your Pain because ultimately you can pay the sacrifice now and then live in blessing or gratify now and pay later.

And so early intervention is kind of such a massive thing when we're setting our lives up as young adults.

I think what I was surprised about, and I'd love for you guys to weigh in on this, was the response from the last episode is I was talking to a life group leader who asked her girls to listen to the podcast before the next life group.

And then in the life group, these young adult women were like, it's impossible.

And it just broke my heart that we now live in a world where girls who are young women who are looking into their future can admit, oh, well, that might be God's standard, but it's actually impossible.

I think in today's society, in the world that we live in, we've been told to lower our standard, to maybe manage somebody else's dysfunction, to lower our standard because you don't know if another one's gonna come along.

But then even in a Christian context, sometimes in a church context, there's a sense of like, you know, be married young and have kids quickly.
