Hello and welcome back to Kinkology, the psychology of kink.
I'm your delightfully wicked host, Miss Becky, former therapist, current femdom, and an unrepentant forever pervert.
Welcome to today's show.
We're going to be talking about love today.
More specifically, we're going to be talking about how to speak each other's love languages, adapting Dr. Gary Chapman's The Five Love Languages for BDSM practitioners.
I'm excited about today's show because I think the concept behind the love languages is very useful material in all aspects of our lives and relationships.
So the
premise behind the five long languages is that we each experience being loved differently.
And in order to truly communicate your love to somebody, you need to be speaking in a language that they understand love.
Too often, people tend to communicate their love in the way that they themselves understand and communicate love.
But the object of their love may speak an entirely different love language.
So the core message just isn't being understood.
It's a really understandable misstep, though, isn't it? To love somebody in the way that you yourself want to be loved.
But in doing so, you are neglecting the way that person feels love and therefore can lead to miscommunications as you are literally speaking two different languages.
The five love languages gives us a model for identifying how we love to be loved and identifying other people's love languages so that we can communicate our love in a language that they understand.
So Dr. Gary Chapman identified five love languages spoken by the masses, and those are acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, words of affirmation, and physical touch.
Settle in because we're going to explore each of them in depth today.
Now, you might be asking me, Ms.
Becky, how does this relate to BDSM? Well...
In BDSM, they become amplified, ritualized, and sometimes weaponized in the most beautiful of ways.
When a dominant or submissive understands their primary partner's love language and learns to speak it fluently inside the container of kink, the dynamic deepens, trust grows, and the emotional safety net becomes almost unbreakable.
So we're going to walk through each of the five love languages one by one.
For each language, I'm going to explain the core concept, show you how it lives inside the dominant and submistress, mistress, slave, owner, property, top, bottom, dynamics, you know, the full enchilada, if you will.
Finally, I'm going to give you a list of concrete kinky examples that you can start using tonight if you want to demonstrate your love, communicate your love in the five languages.
All right, so settle in, take notes if you need to, and remember, you do not get to decide what language your partner speaks.
You get to learn it and become fluent.
