It says, if you then being evil, I know you think, oh, what evil? No, it means that you who are still trying to work through the journey of sin, all right? You then being evil.

We are a fallen people, we are broken people, and yet there's something within us, fathers and mothers, there's something within us that we still give good gifts to our children.

In our brokenness, in our struggle with sin, in our rejection, we still, we still, there's this instinct within us that rises up, and we know how to give good gifts to our children.

How much more will your heavenly Father? If we can give good things, how much more the heavenly Father? The context of this verse is of course talking of giving one of the greatest gifts and that's the gift of the Holy Spirit.

But the meaning behind is the heart of the Father and he wants and desires to give good gifts.

Do you know the Father in that manner? Do you know God as your provider? Can you stand and testify again and again, miracle after miracle, God has provided for me? Can you say he opened doors that could not be opened? Can you say again, here comes another miracle? That is who my God is because God wants to reveal himself in such a way to you.

If I was to just jump to Psalm 139, verse 23 and 24, it's an interesting psalm.

See, the psalmist is saying, God, I think I know my heart, but probably I don't.
