He did a lot of miracles, some caught by one or two or three, but this miracle was recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the only miracle, and it's the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000.

And it must be important if all four Gospel writers captured it, and so let's go to my favorite Gospel, the Gospel of Mark.

Mark chapter six, verse 31, it says, he said to them, come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.

So Jesus and his disciples to some degree are grieving They are hungry and they are tired.

Have you ever been grieving, hungry and tired at the same time? They needed a break.

But the multitude saw them departing and many knew him and ran there on foot from all the cities.

And Jesus, when he came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them.

When the day was now far spent, his disciples came to him and said, this is a deserted place.

And they said to him, shall we go and buy 200 denarii, which is almost two-thirds of a year's income.
