In Episode 44 of Joy Hour, Tom Lyman sits down with his friend Pastor John Little for a conversation about faithfulness, service, family, truth, and the quiet choices that shape a meaningful life…
John LittleGuestOne thing I want to interject I picked up on was when you went to the church at a very young age, you felt the presence of God, even though you didn't understand everything.
and go back to the childhood moments that you know God spoke to you and He still is speaking, but sometimes we've tuned Him out by being too busy or distracted or maybe struggling with different addictions or whatever's going on in our life.
But if you can go back to that heart of a child, that Sunday school experience, that moment, outside, you know, playing in the nature and in knowing God is speaking into your life at four or five, six, seven years old, and you heard it.
And then all throughout your life, maybe you've said yes and then no, or maybe you've ran away.
Kind of live the life a little bit of Jonah, trying to do it his own way and run away from the call.
And remember, you don't need to understand everything, but you do need to seek the presence of God each and every day and let him speak into your life.
And when you really want it, when you're hungry, he's always going to be right there.
You might not understand everything going on, but seek the presence of God in everything that you do.
But is there a hard season that comes to mind that helped to shape your faith even deeper?
