The other day when Greg Penner met with the media and I hate those kinds of media sessions where everybody's trying to talk over everybody else and you're trying to get.
One of my questions was going to be, but I just didn't have the wherewithal to ask it was going to be about grass fields because Greg Penner obviously is one of the, supporters of grass turf he not only has grass turf here in denver he changes the turf mid mid season unlike some owners and i'm sure
yes yes and and i'm sure he fully supports every nfl stadium has having real turf now i wanted to ask him about it but i'm sure his answer would have been pretty diplomatic because he doesn't want to throw other owners under the bus but why can he do it while others can't it's simple in my book money it's it's money
Right now, as in the current ownership structure of teams, the Broncos have the richest ownership group in the league.
They have the practice facility that will change how people think about practice facilities all over the league.
And they've replaced the turf for home games several times, including with one game left in the 2024 season, I believe, was that they simply put in a new field for the season finale.
And all of the stadiums they've toured extensively, they've looked at, you know, how they maintain the grass field.
I still think, you know, they, they haven't said anything about what, you know, they've told the architect or anything that, you know, and they say renderings are close, but it will stun me if we don't see something like Tottenham Hotspur had in the, in the London stadium where the field is grown under the stadium and then brought up for games so they could, they could maintain that during the winter much more easily than they can now with just coils and other heated parts of the field.
