I'm one of the lucky listeners who gets to hear all this fine music a lot of it's unfamiliar to me.
And lately I've gotten to interview some of his creators and performers like tonight where we have an interview with Reza Basi.
Rez is one of the leading jazz guitarists in the world, fusing musical influences from all over the world.
He performed tonight with his quartet, along with Kiran Alawalia, his wife, a noted vocalist of considerable power and insight in her own right.
Rez's quartet also consists of Amil Atwal on drums, Chris Leitkamp on bass, and Carmen Staff on piano.
We were so fortunate to have them playing and doubly fortunate to have them at the church in Sag Harbor.
And we thank all the supporters of the church, including its creators, April Gornick and Eric Fishel, who inspired and led the renovation of this beautiful old Methodist church in Sag Harbor Village into what is now a major resource for art and community and music in the village of Sag Harbor.
