Rebecca SebastianGuestEveryone else, what's up? How is everyone doing? I wanted to start today by checking back in on the conversation I've been having around what to do with the archive of the show.
If you've been listening of late, you know I've been considering whether or not to do away with the limited paywall I have on the show, and I have done my due diligence as I said I would.
I've surveyed subscribers directly to hear from them, and frankly, I still don't really know what to do.
It would make my life easier, and I'd have less admin to do, and it feels emotionally way better.
But then when I looked at the numbers and I talked with subscribers, it started to feel like maybe that wasn't the right thing to do.
In the last week since I was recording last, there have been 2,880 downloads of the show.
That means that someone hit a play button on an episode of mine in some distribution site in the world 2,880 times in the last seven days.
Now, I would say that there's a good portion of those that are, you know, people who are just, like, diving in and clicking and listening to something.
So I think a conservative estimate would be that there are 2,000 regular listeners of this show.
There are 2,000 people out there who are tuning in every week, at least for a period of time, if not some of you have been around here since the beginning.
And if that's one of you, I'm sending my love to you in this moment because I'm just so appreciative that, that you exist, that there's 2,000 people out there who listen to this show every week.
Honestly, it's been a while since I looked at that number, like what percentage of regular listeners are premium subscribers, and it didn't used to be this high.
