TJ DeSantisHostTJ, how are you? I hope you've had a good week, but this is not a very happy time.

I turn on the news and it literally looks like scenes from an apocalyptic movie here in Southern California.
I moved from Philadelphia to Malibu in 1972, and as I've discussed on the show many times, I've been through every major fire in Malibu since then, living in and observing out over the last five to 10 years with friends, family, everybody involved.
Fire coming up to my house, nearly burning my house down, burning down my friends' houses, burning around the canyon, driving a car through a wall of flames.
seeing the destruction to homes, to people's lives, to animal, to livestock, all the horrific things that occur.
But I have to say, after all these years, and I'm not happy to say this at all, this is the most horrific, fire situation, fire scene I have ever seen in my entire life, what's going on here, which started in the Palisades fire, literally starting in 50 acres to burning over 19,000 acres within two days.
Then suddenly we have a fire in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, which burned well over 13,000 acres as of yesterday, not contained.
Many people, many, usually in the past, tragically so, 40, 50, God forbid, 100 or more homes.

And I can't think of anything more difficult to get over than... losing your home because not only do you lose where you live, but you lose so much of your personal identity, you know, everything in your home.

What would you take if you could only take, you know, a handful of items or what you could fit into your car before you evacuate? And the number one answer time and time again, Bruce seems to be photos.
