Pete Edochie on curiosity made me ask

You said something that baffled me and I would like to ask.

I don't believe that you said it, but let's see.

You said it is sad that some Igbos still wear suits to their wedding.

Why can't they wear suits? It's not everybody that have big stomach like you and I.

I agree.

So why can't they wear suits? No.

You see, I have a lot of love and respect for the Yoruba man.

You know why? He does not joke with his culture.

No matter the situation, he comes across with his culture.

And I love him for that.

I want my people to do the same thing.

Have you ever seen me put on a tie? It doesn't make sense.

Yeah.

You know, if people sit around, kind of concourse, You look around, you can always pick the Yoruba people who are there.

Because Sato, really, they have to express themselves in their tradition.

That's what our people ought to do.

What are we putting on coat and that for? Why? It's not necessary.

You go to the north, you see the House of Man, right? He has the traditional gear.

Then you go to Wari and all that.

You see all these things.

You know, it's...

I don't know, but I think it's some kind of colonial mentality.

It's tragic.

Yeah.

They should not at all.
