So as we start today, Karen, I'm just wondering, you know that piece around getting things done, what does that mean for you?

yeah i think for for me and for clients that i work with it looks i think this is the important part it looks differently so it's really about and i know we've continued to talk about your kind of self-assessment so if there's area in your life be it in work personal family whatever in your social groups what's difficult and maybe exploring a little bit as to why that is with no judgment, but just that kind of reflection piece, like where's my time going? Where am I stressed or where am I feeling overwhelmed? Where do I just feel exhausted and maybe a little bit tapped out?

Sometimes it's seen nearly that if we just put in these blanket approaches like try harder in school, you know, a little bit more effort, if they were just a bit more focused, if they were a bit more proactive, a bit of initiative, all of those phrases assume that one approach is going to work.

Where actually in reality, what you and I both know in the work we do is that multiple skills are involved here, multiple thinking and cognitive skills, multiple emotional and sensory regulation skills.

So this bit of thinking that like a blanket approach will just be a quick fix to getting things done can be dismissive and if not disrespectful of the individual and how they work and do things.

like the one size fits all it actually doesn't work yeah it costs time it costs money it costs your mental health it costs it costs strategy from an organizational point of view you're not meeting targets and goals if you're just looking at your workforce as a one size fits all it just doesn't work absolutely

But really those workspaces are designed to help brains thrive and individuals that knowing that actually We will all need different things, everything from the lounge boot to table tennis to actually they look at making sure that people are well nourished and fed.

And we really do need to think about all of these complex issues when we think about us ourselves as individuals and maybe our small company and our team or maybe a larger organisation.

So where do you go as a small business to kind of start that conversation? And it doesn't mean huge financial investment.
