But let's look backwards for a moment and talk about our forecast for August, which What I felt was a very kind of subtle forecast, but as I say that, I'm laughing a little bit because it was subtle in the sense that our central card for the month was the Ten of Pentacles, which is just this depiction of daily life being busy, wild, and chock full of everything.

So it kind of makes sense that the reading felt subtle because daily life was so demanding that we weren't really...

in a position to be getting philosophical and spiritual and really swimming in those waters thoroughly.

So there was a lot happening, but it was not in the center of our awareness because there was so much going on in that Ten of Pentacles lifestyle, if you will.

As I was looking back at the cards this morning, I was really drawn to a part of the reading I did not pay that much attention to, which is why a tarot practice where you return to things is especially fruitful, because you're like, oh, now this makes sense, or now this is emerging as a different insight than I originally expected.

But for me, that was really seen with the intersection, the interplay between the star, which is our environment card, this opportunity for healing and understanding and coming into quiet, calm relationship with oneself, and our challenge card, which was the Seven of Cups, which is a card of fantasy of being swept away, of daydreaming sometimes, and wishing reality wasn't what it is, and perhaps even tricking ourselves into thinking it's something different.

I felt the sense of almost tenderness because the Seven of Cups is a card that is really obvious in that it has this illustration of a silhouetted person with their hands up in awe or terror or surprise, all three, at the Seven of Cups that are... nestled in this architecture of clouds, and from each of the cups is cascading or popping out these odd things, you know, strands of jewels, a ghost-like figure, a dragon, there's all sorts of outlandish stuff happening there.

And The group, however, the number, the sevens, is really about kind of mysticism and these moments of transformation that are not clear cut.

And the star, when I was looking at them together, I was like, oh, you know, the star does evoke some of this Seven of Cups energy.

And what I was seeing was almost that the Seven of Cups being one of the stars in the sky behind the main figure.

And so thinking about this month as a... almost a training ground for situating our sense of imagination and fantasy and wonder within the larger whole, a bigger picture.

Like if that's just one star in the constellation of our connection with ourselves, our healing, our inspiration.

However, if it is the one place that we're going, it is taking us away from ourselves, the silhouette versus the very real, fleshy main character of the star.

and it is almost is creating something from nothing whereas the star gains its sense of self and its inspiration from what is really there they are in a natural environment it is legible to us while the rest of the card may feel very archetypally intense it is still grounded in nature So that is something that I'm really taking with me, that August was really a time to integrate imagination and fantasy and wonder with our larger big capital S self and particularly our healing journey.

So thinking too, as we move into September and what did we really learn? What was like a big lesson? Because this did feel like a reading that was saying, you know, this was a fairly big moment.

What was a big lesson that we learned about how to take care of ourselves and how to take care of both our Seven of Cups imaginative creative self and our real self, our sort of Ten of Pentacles self, the version of us that needs to show up for the world around us? And how might those two be one in the same? So, you know, we're going big as we start our reading today.
