So in a classic moment, some things I just won't stop doing, I went into that reading with a fair amount of hubris.
I was like, Okay, five of cups were great, you know, grief, cool.
But as has been the theme of our Wheel of Fortune year, 2026, it was not a very chill experience.
So we are leaving that very dense world.
confrontational reading and moving into something else, but wanted to incorporate in this space a little moment for reflection.
We used to do these posts back in the day on Substack.
And so I thought it would be nice to just have a moment here to just process what's happened in the month previously and to look at those cards because it's always fun to see the segue between one month to the next.
Now, June was also really intense because we had the solstice.
So this is like the midpoint.
And with that comes a lot of change and chance and chaos, the three C's.
But in all seriousness, I think that's really borne out on a global stage, that's for sure.
And I will vouch for it happening on a personal stage as well.
So taking a moment right now to really respect that and also to think personally about how you have been navigating all of this.
What have been the practices, the places, the people where you have felt held and calmed and centered as things spin around wildly? And maybe what are some of the practices and places and people that have not done that? because this is a time where we can really look at a nice data set and make some changes accordingly.
A quick side note is I am accompanied by two dogs, one of whom really likes to grumble, so you may hear Bobo sighing in the background, which I think adds a nice layer to the recording.
In any case...
the last month really had us focusing in on a moment of grief with the Five of Cups.
And for me, this was a very lived-in experience, which I think was helpful and immersive.
And our challenge was to not get sucked wholesale into the emotional overwhelm of the Three of Swords and to rise above or to practice being in a place of of agency.
And with that, in the swords group, sort of thinking, how do we want to decide the meaning of this story? So that was very, that was a process.
I think maybe that's like my biggest takeaway is that, you know, the distance, we can't get to the clarity of the king of swords without being in the mud, without going back and forth.
And that was something that I felt like this group of cards for June really challenged me to do.
So I do feel like in those readings where we have a lot of emotionality, it takes some time for the clarity to emerge.
So I do imagine that there'll be this sort of like a luminal period between now and maybe mid-July where some of the lessons and the insights from June are still kind of coalescing into a place of awareness.
