Recorded May 7th 2026, Peter and Flora discuss the rainy season, a story from a hiker visiting from NYC, and review a movie about ancient Algebra.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Well, there's been a lot of hikers in the pizza pub lately.
Yeah.
So we've actually had a lot more business recently with... hikers kind of just hanging around in town you know a lot of people to talk to in the pub i mean it's gotten rowdy sometimes recently you know it's usually a cozy vibe but it's kind of turned into like a like a bit of a party in there you know i don't
i i knew this because i don't know if you noticed but i was actually there the other night that's right um i don't usually go out and science or socialize i just don't really do that but I don't know.
Maybe, again, your influence maybe has gotten me wanting to spend a little more time around people.
So I went to the pizza pub for a hot cider and a pizza, and I'd never seen it this crowded before.
I know.
Have we ever described to the listener kind of what this place looks like?
picture?
Yeah, so imagine you're in this small town and you see this kind of old wooden building and you walk in and there's cathedral ceilings with rafters and there's big windows for natural light to come in and then across from you, well, kind of in the big hall, it feels like a big hall, there are these big wooden tables.
And in the corners of the room, there's also comfy sitting chairs if you don't really want to talk to anyone and just kind of sit near the fireplace.
There's a long bar with stools and there's just lots of different choices of beer you can choose from.
And my favorite thing is that you actually get to watch the pizzas being made in front of you.
