Etsy ads work by helping listings appear in more places but and a big big but they are not a band-aid and they do not replace a clear product, strong photos, good pricing or buyer trust.
Here's the thing Ads cost money.
OK, and every pound or dollar that you spend in your business, you have to get some kind of return on investment or you might hear it as ROI.
OK, you have to make sure that when you're spending money in your business, you're doing it for the right reasons, not out of a place of panic.
Unfortunately, for a lot of beginners, they say my shop feels quiet and they often want a quick fix and Etsy ads kind of feels like that fix.
But if the listing has weak photos, unclear titles, confusing delivery, missing details, ads just might send them to a weak listing.
So you're actually like literally flushing your money down the toilet.
More traffic is really only helpful if that listing can handle that traffic and convert that traffic.
I actually think the return on investment for spending money on a good listing is crazy.
You can get some crazy return on ad spend.
