Starting your Etsy shop does not need to become a full-blown personality crisis. If you’re new to Etsy and trying to get everything perfect before you list anything, this Etsy for beginners video…
If you are a beginner, there are just a few things that you need to sort out before you can start making sales.
And this video slash podcast, depending on where you are consuming this, is going to walk you through everything you need to know.
Basically, you wanna just stop faffing around and just get your business going.
The first point I wanna make here is that branding matters eventually, but your logo is not gonna make someone buy a wonky listing, okay? Honestly, if you haven't gone and watched my previous episode slash previous video, it's episode 116, and I'm basically walking you through why your Etsy listings are not selling yet.
If you haven't gone and listened slash watched that, you need to go and do that straight after this one.
But what really matters here at this stage is focus because I know that so many of us get really excited and we end up going, oh, I can do my branding and ooh, I can sort this out and ooh, my packaging and ooh, this.
But the reality is, is that I would rather you only make three products and you can explain them clearly, you can photograph them clearly, you know what your SEO is, you know your target market for that product, and you can list those well.
Don't worry about getting your branding perfect straight off the bat.
I would so much rather you have, like I say, a small amount of products that you know you love, they're tested, they are trusted, and things that you can actually list the right way.
