Joeri GoedertierGuestBuddyHostRossHostJerry, let me ask you a quick, a quick question here since we're, I might be jumping ahead a little bit, but since you touched on how you, you'll train a dog for 24 months or, you know, call it 24 months and then you transition it to the home.
Um, what's that transition like? And.
do you find that the, the new owners are like, are, are on the same page with the, the training that you've provided? And the reason I ask is because I, I've got a lot of experience with bird dogs and, you know, force, force fetching bird dogs and, and breaking bird dogs.
And I can bring a dog here, um, and force fetch them, you know, have them here for two, three months and, and, you know, have them looking beautiful in the field and, and then I can send them back home to whoever it is.
And if that person doesn't give the dog the same boundaries that I gave it, um, you know, and expect the same things out of that dog as I expected that dog, basically the training can, can just unravel.
Yeah.
Um, So do you see that with your dogs as

All joking aside, you know, over the years, right, I think in the beginning, so 20-something years ago, I was world champion with a Raw Waller.

And I sold the dog after a month or two negotiating for the right price, right? I sold the dog.

But then, then you saw the holes in my training, meaning that dog was not prepared to do this job.

That dog was prepared to have a handler like me or you who knows the boundaries, who knows.

Most of the season, the guy just wanted to show off a week or two a year, and the rest of the dog lived with me.
back.
Give me an example.
I'm following what you're saying, but can you give a small example of what maybe the dog didn't do so that I can follow this?

No, so what happened with these dogs is these dogs have a certain training regimen, right? And they understand when Yuri's left leg moves, I heal.
