Hormone Happy Hour with Dr. Heather Rhodes
May 11, 2026 · 51 min · 23 segments
In this episode of the Hormone Happy Hour, I’m connecting the dots between gut health, the immune system, and hormonal imbalances that so many women are dealing with things like Hashimoto’s, eczema…
And so I'm excited today 'cause we're gonna dive a little bit deeper into the gut.
And then, as always, we're still gonna pull through mind, body, spirit, of, like, what could or can be happening with the gut.
This is also gonna be so highly correlated with any type of overactive immune response.
So that's gonna include Hashimoto's, anything that's got, like, an autoimmune component, eczema, psoriasis, endo, fertility.
Even things like, this is something we don't talk about a whole lot here, but, um, even things like lipedema.
And a lot of times, like, even when I think influm- inflammation and immune system linking back to the gut, it can even be things that don't quite have a diagnosis but that you, like, notice is happening.
Uh, if you have really, like, dimply skin that's sitting above muscular tissue around specifically, like, your legs, so it might be, like, saddlebags or whatever.
I hate to, like, use words that feel critical, but I know that's kind of how you could relate to them.
And so a lot of times when we have this culmination of, or like a triad almost, of estrogen dominance with, like, stubborn weight, especially if we've got, like, a pear shape with a little bit of that, like, fatty tissue.
If you are possibly someone struggling with low progesterone, low hormones overall, struggling with fertility, like, all of this is going to link us back to how the gut plays a role in those things.
And if you are struggling with things that I mention or something that's said or brought up, you're like, "Wait, I have a deeper question about that," there's a couple ways we can actually, like, really dive deeper together specifically for you.
