Hey Tableau.
There's this urban legend, I guess, in K-pop, within K-pop, going back to before we even had the word, the term K-pop, like back in the 90s, 80s.
There's this thing where supposedly if you see a ghost, at a studio while you're recording a song or you hear a ghost, that song becomes a smash hit.
It is a running urban myth.
So sometimes like, you know, somebody will hear something weird while recording and they'll be like, oh my God, what is that? What does that sound? And the engineer without fail will say, That means, this song's gonna be a hit.
Because it's supposed to be a good omen for that song, right? And I think the thinking behind it is that ghosts and spirits are attracted to repetition of sounds.
And here's the thing, when you're recording a song, you're usually like recording one part over and over again.
So quite often it's like a loop and the song, that part is being repeated and you're singing the same part.
So if we believe that myth or that urban legend, then ghosts would, you know, logically be attracted to settings like a studio.
Whether or not any of this is true, I don't know.
I can only speak from my experience, and yes, multiple times I have seen ghosts, what I think are ghosts.
And I'll be talking about that today, but I'll be doing it in a funny way, so it's not going to be that scary, okay? So do not click out if you're going to be, oh, I can't watch scary stuff.
It's going to be hilarious, okay? So just stay with us.
And the reason why I wanted to talk about this today, I recently saw this interview.
It was like some podcast.
It became a huge smash Oscar-winning song.
So maybe the male ghost was really tall.
Maybe if the ghost is kind of short, you have sort of a hit.
But I guess the ghost was fucking tall as hell.
Because that song was that big of a hit.
Anyways, I was watching this clip and I was like, oh, you know, there's a lot of songs in K-pop that supposedly ghosts like played a small part in.
Some songs with actual ghost voices in them.
And then I searched around a little bit and apparently like back in the 90s, early 2000s, not only songs where like you can hear something, but like there were K-pop music videos, like Korean music music videos that had ghosts that apparently were in them.
Again, I don't know if any of this is true, but I believe it because I've experienced it myself.
