Colin YatesGuestJakeHostIn terms of objectives for this season, Colin, you mentioned a little bit when you spoke about the new American investors.
I know Bolton Wanderers probably think, I know speaking to you, Cole, because you're one of the only Bolton fans I speak to, but you want to be at the top end of this league.
You want to be back in the Premier League.
That's where you see the club long term.
But in terms of short term this season, like as a newly promoted club, and I think you've maybe seen a little bit in terms of the spending power that even the mid-table clubs have now got at this level.
is the objective for Bolton very similar to the objective for Lincoln which is just to however you can do it this year and hopefully it's just one year for Bolton stay in the league

It is a little bit frustrating when you look at the stature of clubs in this division that they do have so much more kind of spending power than you.

But when you've been out of the division for such a long time, it's inevitable.

And the money that filters in for the Premier League, you're always going to have that kind of problem.
Yeah, I trust you to be optimistic, eh, Cole?
Yeah.
It certainly feels like the gap between League One and the Championship has grown.
Obviously, you've experienced this jump up before, but We were at an event, Cole, with our sporting director.
I think I've told you this before, but we're going from the 41st most competitive league in the world on the coefficient to the 6th or 7th strongest league in world football, which is when you consider that perhaps the finances of the club that we both support are in, You're not really massively able to, you know, our League One and League Two clubs, you just sign 14, 15 players a summer.
You can't really do that because you've got players on longer contracts.
It becomes difficult for you to do.
