Carrie Prom

So today is a very special episode.

Eee! We are detouring from our theme park coverage to hit up one of our favorite events or styles of events, which is an indie haunt or at least a semi-independent haunt.

This haunt is part of an event called Carry Prom.

It's commemorating the 50th anniversary of the movie Carrie that came out in 1976.

And it was a full event with multiple elements that you could explore, including a maze.

Yes.

Let's dig into the official description.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1976 movie in the actual gym from the film.

Dress in your 70s best, bring a date, and dance the night away to live music and immerse yourself in photo ops, movie locations, and themed environments.

Then watch the classic movie where it all went down.

There's plenty of surprises in store for the hardcore Carrie fans.

You don't want to miss this killer one night experience.

So it is, in fact, all of that.

And a maze by one of our favorite independent maze creators, Murder House Production.

They're

so good.

MHPHaunt on Instagram.

We will give them the shout out.

They're worth your time.

We actually have a history with going to their haunts.

Probably five years ago, we went to one called Shook that was a maze that was celebrating queer horror.

So it was kind of a combo of Babadook and Sleepaway Camp and Carrie.

And then we went to another one called Ghosted, which they put on twice in a warehouse kind of space that they rented out, it seemed.

And that one was one of the best haunts, period, I've ever been to.

So good.
