Like it's kind of a joke that my brother was trying to find a way to skirt the rules and I was trying to rewrite my own set.
And so I don't really necessarily believe that there is a right quote unquote way to do things, especially surrounding money.
feel like that it's a lot about awareness, right? Like, for instance, you were making the comment that, well, why haven't you launched your thing, right? You probably have some underlying fear of failure there.
Like, what happens if you launch it and it flops? Okay, well, what happens if that happens, right? Like, does that mean that you're a failure? No, it has nothing to do with that, right? Like, that inherently is not the case.
There's been plenty of times that... super successful, you know, highly amazing people have gone out, put themselves out there.
And the first thing, two things, multiple things didn't land the way they thought they would or whatever.
And so sometimes we just have to remember, especially as really intelligent you know people that um it's not necessarily about the outcome right it's about the intention about you being able to ideate it's about you being able to move forward right um look at it have awareness and then make shifts like okay so this piece didn't wasn't perfect here how do i how do i move into here and i'll be real it took me a over a year longer to launch Financial Lensings Framework than I wanted to because I was trying to be so perfect at it, right? Is it going to hold value? Am I going to do it right or whatever? And the truth is, even if it wasn't perfect, it was still going to help.
And as I have had the first group of people running through that program, learning about themselves and things like that, their comments have been, yeah, well, this is really helpful.
But I convinced myself that it just had to be perfect and that I couldn't make tweaks to it as we went along, which is not true at all, right? I mean, we're always going to be getting better.
And so I think that high earner, high... mindset individual you know entrepreneur a lot of times we have to remember that done is better than perfect that we just literally have to put the thing out there and know that um it is gonna land with the people it's supposed to land with and we're gonna keep making adjustments and changes and and all the things but that's hard when it's kind of in your baby or yeah you know you're trying to to get it out there into the world.
Like, you just have to remind yourself, just keep just keep going through the paces, keep doing doing the things.
So what you're saying and what's funny is I now remember who Beth was because she was a guest before you and we talked about perfectionism and she's a psychologist and she's like, you know, perfectionism is a way to, it's a beautiful way to punish yourself.
for not being a high achiever, which is like, oh my God, and now here we are talking about being perfect again.
And what I'm hearing is that I should have launched this maybe a month ago, right? Because that would give me a lot more data points and a lot more people talking about it to say, okay, what's fixing? And as I'm talking to my friend just an hour and a half ago, she's like, she's part of this other group And when this lady launched her thing, that version one, it looked nothing like what I've got going on at this stage.
