The Montreal Canadiens blow ANOTHER lead as they lose in OT on a costly penalty. Josh Gosse and Jesse Poirier about all of it on this episode of Habs Digest. --- 0:00 Montreal Canadiens News Join this…
Montreal has done the same thing in three out of the last four games, and that's blow a two-goal lead, but that should not take away from the incredible performance of Juraj Slavkovski with his insane goal around Darnell Nurse and the whole top line in general.
Suzuki tie in the game, and Cole Caulfield, scoring once again his sixth of the year to make it 3-1.
There were so many positives in this game that it drives me nuts that the narrative after this one came down to penalties.
Should this have been called a penalty? It, I guess, was blatant, but also I feel like goalies do this a lot.
There's so many good things that happened this game, and it wasn't the result we wanted, but one thing I did want to say is that I just feel like the vision is there.
Not the ideal start to the year, but at the same time, I still think things can get a bit better from here, and the team clearly showed their talent, and that's what I'm excited about.
Certainly not losing it, because we know, again, we're a talented team ourselves in the extra frame here.
It's about not getting that position, not having it 3-2 in that first place, right? But when you're Jakub Dobesz, you got to read the room in overtime right like you know the ref is maybe calling some some questionable things you need to stay in your crease a little bit more and it's tough for dobex right because he largely like the habs had a good game and this is just gonna leave a sour taste in his mouth so this is really a tough one for him at the same time the team's gonna regroup right because Again, there's just so many positives to draw.
Again, what I just find interesting about tonight's game, Josh, is how the Montreal Canadiens can play so fast, so intense on top of the puck while still allowing such good opportunities, like the few opportunities that do come up from the Sharks, are like grade A opportunity.
