On this week's episode, Keith is back, he and Caleb give a thorough breakdown of the new ATF so-called guidance on suppressor transfers on a 4473
Keith FinchHostCaleb GiddingsHostUm, what is going o- okay, so I saw this thing, and I've been really busy, that the director of the ATF did actually issue guidance about the whole suppressor thing, and he said-
... was not to treat 4473, or not to treat suppressors on 4473s as incorrect, right? Like-

So first off, I've, I've been covering this on BSP, um, on Gat Daily for the most part, uh, anytime there is actual, like, formal guidance.

I didn't cover this one for good reason, because once again, we are seeing very excited, like, news go around that doesn't really actually mean much.

The ATF director, who, again, I- he is on our side in a way that we have never seen before, guys, so no shade at him, but he's playing it so close to the vest and so, like, safe, for obvious reasons, like, um, but he's playing it so safe that this latest update doesn't really mean anything.

But the guidance is that they are not treating 4473 transfers of suppressors as violations.

... 4473 transfers of suppressors as violations, meaning they are not holding the dealers who do those transfers accountable for what is, by every other metric, breaking the rules.
