Let's talk a little bit about this psychological architecture that you've actually developed and how that came about.

Yeah, so for me, dealing with pathology, you know, actual disorders, depression, anxiety, these are very heavy things and it doesn't match my current energy.

So I was focused on the opposite side of the spectrum, happiness, well-being, right? I had this philosophical inquiry that started when I was about...

Like, why am I not happy? Right? But that inquiry turned into a more specific question, which is, how can I be happy? And every experience in life then mapped back to that inquiry.

And so I developed this system of Actually, before my master's and before my career change, I came up with this very simple three domain system.

And the three domains here are together extremely powerful in giving you a sense of strong foundations and these strong foundations give you well-being give you resilience they give you leadership you know all the things that you might desire in life can be mapped back into these three simple domains and most people are deficient in one and it's very natural to be deficient and most high achievers very high functioning people are deficient in two So to get to them, the first one is safety.

So safety gives you that sense of peace, right? And it's not safety in terms of, oh, do I have a house? Do I have money? It's safety in terms of how you feel with yourself, right? There are many people out there and maybe even listening to this podcast who don't feel safe with just themselves, right? So safety is that sense of groundedness and inner peace.

The second domain is challenge and challenge is where you find your meaning, your purpose.

The right challenge will give you the motivation to push through any obstacles that come in your way and without losing that fire inside of you and without burning out, right? The wrong challenge makes you burn out super fast.

And let me ask you, okay, just quickly, Steph, right? What's the opposite word for play?

So in, I think it was 2014, there was a study on this, right? They followed 6,000 play histories and depriving yourself of play actually led to a loss of adaptability.

And what happens when that is true, right? You freeze up, your nervous system gets more and more activated because you're not flexible, you're not adapting well, and you become very uncomfortable in your own skin, in your own life.

It predicts rigidity, right? So that means that you have more black or white thinking.
