Reach Out Via Text! Q4 is here, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to mentally move on to 2027. In this episode of the Growing Green Podcast, Jeremiah…
Jeremiah JenningsHostSo what are we hopping into today, guys? Uh, we had a great interview with David Perdue on Tuesday.
If you have not missed-- uh, if you've not listened to that show, go back and check that out.
Um, something I want to talk about today is just kind of Q4 prep here going into twenty twenty-seven and, uh, doing a little bit of an autopsy on this year before we get into Q4 hot and heavy.
So today, if you're listening in real time, is October 1, so we're officially there.
And I think what a lot of people can do sometimes is just look forward to twenty twenty-seven, but they actually, uh, miss the last Q4 here.
They, they miss the last three months of the year, and it could be a lot of revenue left on the table.
So as we go into the Q4 here that we're gonna get into, the last couple months of the year, I just want to talk through some things on how we can make them the most profitable, how we can actually turn some cash through here, and some things we can do and some things we can be doing to really, uh, just hone out the year strong, round out the year strong.
Uh, I encourage you to make this a time where the last three months that you have are doing-- are spent doing work that you know are gonna be profitable for you.
What does your cash flow statement look like? What does your balance sheet look like? But check on that and see, like if you feel the stress, you feel the cash not there, the cash flow statement may be looking a little rough.
P&L might not be where you want it, but find some areas of work where you have invoiced and received pretty quickly.
Give job costs to a few jobs and say, "Hey, these jobs actually do very well for us," and pick those up.
Uh, some opportunities that I know you guys are gonna get into is you're gonna be doing [clears throat] excuse me- Ooh.
You're gonna be doing leaf cleanups, and, uh, a lot of you guys up north in the fall time just run wide open with leaf cleanups.
We don't have them all come down at one time like you guys do in a, in a week or two.
Really right now, leaves are already starting to fall slowly just 'cause we got dry early.
But they're starting to fall, and we will just mulch those into the lawn in a contin- on a continuing recurring service over the next couple weeks.
We'll go to a biweekly schedule, and we'll do that through January, February-ish.
And so it keeps us, keeps us busy, keeps the yard looking clean, et cetera, and we can do that profitably.
