Kimberley DayGuestI want to make sure that you get a lot of value out of this in the next five minutes.
So I want to give you a couple of questions that you can ask that will lead to introductions and referrals.
And if you apply these questions consistently as part of your sales, customer success, prospecting, you're going to generate a lot more leads, but more A couple of years ago, I went to work for a business and looked in their CRM, found a contact in there that I'd actually introduced to that company two years prior and nobody had followed them up.
So I contacted this guy, went and had a couple of coffee meetings with him and wrote $11.2 million worth of new business in the next six months.
So my question to you is, What golden opportunities are sitting in your existing network that need to be followed up rather than chasing cold new leads all the time? I mean, you're in the right room for connecting with the right people.
The question is, once you make those connections, what are you doing next? I'll drop a link in to this calculator a little bit later, but you can go in there and start to estimate the value of potential new business sitting in your current network.
So I'm not sure what you're seeing in the marketplace at the moment, but what we're experiencing and the feedback we're getting is that that the old marketing tactics that were working are becoming more challenging and harder to convert.
So content saturation, cold outreach overwhelm, a lot of lack of trust with all the spamming and phishing that's going on at the moment.
So I'm keen if you could just pop in the chat One, two or both if you're experiencing any of these in your marketing and sales process at the moment, because that's the thing that we can circumvent or we're trying to overcome here.
So your existing customers, a lot of people don't spend enough time with their existing customers focusing and going deep with them.
Your best customers are surrounded by high quality vendors, suppliers, advisors.
The question is, how do you get connected into that network in a really smooth way? So the answer is simpler than you might think.
If you start to ask these, weave these two simple questions into all of your contacts or all of your communication, not just with your existing clients, but also with your prospects and prospects that you're nurturing as well, that you're following up with.
And if you just ask them who's an ideal customer for them and do they work with referral partners and who's an ideal referral partner for them and do that with a genuine intent to connect good people up with other people in your network, the thing that's going to happen next is they're going to ask you, this law of reciprocity actually works, they're going to ask you who can they connect you with and how can they help you.
This is the point that you wanna be really clear about the referral partners that you work really well with, that you can add a lot of value with too, and why, and then give them a very simple and clear message around that value proposition and who you wanna connect with.
