Welcome back to the Granbury Kia broadcast booth.

From Granbury, Clayton Neville and Luke Backman with Brian Torres technically directing.

It's Granbury Varsity Football.

The Pirates looking for their second win of the season.

They're taking on the Lions of Waco High.

Should be a good one.

We'll preview some of it for you here in just a second.

But, Luke, you and I both getting our first game of this season underway.

Your first season with Granbury.

Mine was last year.

Color commentary was split between a couple guys who did a great job for us last year.

But tell us a little bit about it.

You're in the midst of baseball season, right? You're coming over from Cleburne.

Indeed, yeah.

The Cleburne Railroaders finishing up their regular season.

I'm the number two broadcaster in some color, some play-by-play as well with the Railroaders.

They're out on the road, about to start the postseason next week.

So I'm looking forward to transitioning from baseball to football season.

Sports never end, and I'm excited to get into this start of football.

Yeah, absolutely.

And Cleburne, obviously, you're familiar with the area.

That's where this Granbury team went last week and came out with a win.

Not too bad as far as travel is concerned, but they're back at home this time around before having to go to the Metroplex next week to take on Irving.

Yeah, I think Coach Allison hit it on the head.

You only get a handful of these home games a year, and you think about it all summer long for these Friday night lights in your home stadium, in front of your home fans.
