What have been the positives, do you think, on both sides as far as the passing and the running game? Is it a balanced attack?

I think it has to be.

I think it has to be balanced, but I think at the end of the day, you have to be able to run the football.

That's obviously the challenge.

That's what Aledo does really good is stop the run.

They've got two defensive tackles in the middle that are really hard to handle.

But we have to continue to find ways to run the football, and it helps whenever you have guys like Spencer Taylor, who is just a hard-nosed, tough runner.

And starting the season that way, especially with the way that last season ended for a lot of the returners, was that a key? I mean, I know it's always important to start strong, but was it extra important with this group or was it a clean slate completely?

I think it's always a clean slate.

You know, I think something we talk to our kids a lot about is that, you know, every year is different.

Every team is different.

And, you know, it's about us and this team and the preparation and the things that go into it on the week and the way that we had to travel and the things that we had to do.

You know, I don't think it was more important.

I think it was just they knew how important it was for this team to start off this way, especially for this senior group.
