Granbury High School Football - 09/19/26

We're back from Johnny Perkins Field inside the Granbury Kia broadcast booth.

Clayton Neville alongside Luke Backman, Brian Torres technically directing.

A big game for Granbury tonight.

Opportunity banging at the door as Aledo comes to town.

The 2-1 Granbury Pirates hosting the 1-2 Aledo Bearcats.

And I think this game is significant for both fan bases in the sense that both of these programs took a step up, now being 6A.

Aledo obviously has lost two games, but if you look at who they lost to...

It doesn't really matter a whole lot in this district.

In fact, it doesn't matter at all when it comes to district play.

But just meaning district has begun now.

They played up a little bit with North Crowley when you just talk about size and competition level.

Even within 6A, there's bigger schools than others.

And I think that's kind of what we saw there.

But you never know.

I think that Granbury will actually get to provide a true test to this Aledo team tonight.

I think people will have a better idea as to what Aledo is after

this Granbury game.

Agreed.

We talked about it in the first segment here in the pregame show, just talking about non-district play.

You're trying to challenge yourself and see what your team has.

You want to go against the best of the best.

All right, push your team.

That's what Aledo did, Granberry as well.

But now as we enter this district play here in 6A, okay.

Now you're back closer to the median with both of these teams.
