Granbury High School Football - 09/12/26

Pre-game coverage continues from Irving, Texas.

We're high above the field at Joy and Ralph Ellis Stadium.

Clayton Neville, Luke Backman, Brian Torres, and Bryce Andrews technically directing.

We are in a lightning delay for Granbury and Irving.

It shouldn't be too long as we were talking about.

The weather looks like it's going to move out of the area any moment now.

They're just waiting for that 30-minute delay to expire.

We've got that yellow flashing light on top of the field house to our right.

That indicates that we are in the midst of a delay.

And it's like a ghost town in the stands, too.

People were starting to file in, but everybody had to clear out.

So we are in the midst of an empty stadium with the flags really whipping in the wind right now, too.

In fact, if you look toward downtown directly out from the press box here and then a little bit over to the south, I see a rainbow.

You see that?

I indeed do.

It looks nice out there.

Hopefully those are good signs to come for what we can see here on this Friday

Night Lights.

Yeah, Friday Night Rainbow ahead of week three of the regular season for Granbury.

We're going to talk about some stats and how things have gone statistically for this Granbury team.

We were talking about with Coach before the game, and we'll play the interview in a second, but about the balance between the run and pass and how he hopes that that balance also translates to a balance on defense of being able to stop the run and pass.

He said that that was what was preached this week is balance on both sides of the ball.

So we're going to hear a little bit more about that when we hear the game plan and talk statistics after the first two

games of the season.
