S6E30 New Hope Residential Centre Overview & Rejoicing Over the One

We're missionaries to the addicted in Tala.

So one of the ministries that I started was a Friday night program, and it still runs now.

If you go to LifeGate on a Friday evening, there's a...

There's a gospel-orientated ministry where we get people in, we invite anybody that wants to come, and they'll be preaching testimonies every Friday night.

And we want that Friday night ministry to be a bridge into the local church where people that wouldn't normally come to church come in.

And I suppose it's an easier path to come into church.

It's a big daunting thing to walk through the doors of a church.

for the first time.

And the people that we normally reach, they're unchurched people.

They've never been in a Christian church before.

You know, all of them will have grown up Catholic.

They've never been in a Bible preaching church before.

Most will never have held a Bible before in their lives.

When they come into our ministry, the first time they will ever be given their own Bible will be when they come into New Hope.

So we start a Friday night program to reach out to the community.

One of the things, I suppose the most important thing is, as our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the addicted.

That is my focus.

I don't go and want to do lots of children's ministries or anything like that.

My thing is people with addictions.

That's what God has called me to.

So that's my focus.

I don't really do too much more than that.

That's my focus.

In a sense, that's what gets you out of bed in the morning.

That's the main thing, okay? Preaching the gospel to the addicted.
