S6E29 The Pathway From Being Bitter to Better

You know, God doesn't just heal what hurts.

He uses what hurts to reveal who he is in our lives.

You know, it would be great if I could stand up here this morning and say, listen, if you get saved, you know, God's going to take all your problems away.

Everything's going to be great.

And you'll just live happier ever after.

Now, you won't read that in the Bible, but it makes great fairy tales and stories, okay? That is not always the way it is.

The book of Exodus, we know it's when God's people were in slavery.

They had been slaves for how many years? 400 years.

So when you're living in slavery for 400 years, know this.

It's not something that you're just doing.

It's who you are if you're a slave for that long.

Because every generation that you have lived with or known, they've all been slaves.

So it's not like something they've just gone into.

They were born in slavery.

They lived in slavery.

They taught as slaves.

They acted like it.

And ultimately, that's who they were.

And they have prayed.

God has sent Moses.

They have been led out of Israel, out of Egypt.

And we know all the story of the Exodus.

I hope you do.

If you don't, please go back and read it.

And God leads.
