Quickie recap of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, season 5 episode 1

So, you know, the last we saw everyone, the season finale from season four was in October of 2025.

And the first text that we see now, it says, in May 2026, the cast returned to finish filming interviews following a two-month production pause.

And they're being asked, like, what do you guys all know is true, like, about the whole situation about Taylor? Mikayla's looking traumatized, frankly.

How, you know, my arch nemesis, Harry Jousey, of all people, like spilled the tea about this production pause because, you know, quote unquote, shit was hitting the fan.

And we see a headline saying that Taylor Frankie Paul's circle is worried for her while being amid alleged domestic violence incidents.

And then we see Michaela saying that she knew the relationship was toxic, but not to this level of bad.

Although I do feel the need to point out that the literal pilot of this TV show was about a domestic violence incident between these exact same two people.

So as like serious and very upsetting all of this is, I'm not sure it's really shocking to anyone.

We're seeing footage of Taylor as the bachelorette and Layla saying that she can't imagine how hard it was for her to show up with a happy face.

We're seeing reactions to the video resurfacing of a 2023 physical altercation between Dakota and Taylor.

We do see Taylor's mom Leanna on a podcast saying that many people think that the chair hit Indy, Taylor's daughter.

Because for those who haven't seen this video, Taylor is throwing bar stoles toward Dakota in it.

We then see a TikTok of, you know, someone rightfully wondering, Why are we just filming in the middle of an argument? What was happening before Dakota hit record? And we see Jen saying that a lot of women have experienced these types of things and they saw themselves in Taylor's situation.

We see another TikToker reading an article about how Taylor's Request stated that Dakota slammed her head against the dashboard of his truck, struck her knee and elbow after driving her away from her home against her will where her three children were sleeping inside.

Then we see Jesse saying that Dakota's been holding things over Taylor's head for so long that this feels planned.
