And so I wanted to provide some of the data and analytics for how Jake is analyzing XRP ever reaching a $10,000 price chart.
And I want to be very clear.
This is not a narrative that I believe in, but of course I'm rooting for this to be correct.
And I think in order for you guys to understand how Jake is perceiving the XRP market cap issue is, you have to listen to his explanation that he's given on several of his live streams, where he doesn't dismiss the market cap as a good use case for valuing these different blockchains, but he dismisses it as the right way to value the XRP ledger.
Most people multiply the supply by a high price and compare that to GDP, and they call that an impossible target.
But what Jake is saying here is that the framework was built for stocks and that speculative tokens are to be measured in a completely different way.
Now, what's the defining factor here when it comes to the success of the XRP ledger? We need wide scale institutional adoption and we need trillions of dollars running across this blockchain on a daily basis because in order to settle that amount of value instantaneously at scale, you need a far higher value for the XRP token.
And so I decided to leverage AI here and ask the question, what would the market cap be for XRP at a $10,000 token? It would be over 630 trillion at the current circulating supply and a $1 quadrillion market cap if you're looking at the full 100 billion tokens being in circulation today.
But I think it's important to understand how he's getting to this number because if you look at the markets and how they're being valued today, It's nearly impossible to ever see a token reach a $600 trillion market cap.
Now, global nominal GDP is around $127 trillion, and the global listed equities market is about $150 to $165 trillion.
A $630 trillion market cap for XRP would be roughly five times the global GDP and 4X the entire global stock market.
And although when you analyze the data from this perspective, it's impossible to see XRP reaching $1 quadrillion, the argument that Jake is making here is that if we see mass institutional adoption at scale, there is going to be so much volume running across the network that the only way for XRP to facilitate that amount of value is with a far higher price target.
But I want to hear from you guys.
