This week really just put a highlight on, um, what really is the post-2021 part of his career, and that is that he's always gonna have stretches where he hits the ball well.
Um, he's alway- He's, I mean, he's, he's not a bad golfer by any means.
But the thing that's consistent is that the putts aren't gonna go in the big tournaments, and they haven't for years, and years, and years to come.
And there's no trust, there's no confidence.
Um, there's, the, the reads are bad.
The strokes are bad.
They're feeble.
Um, long story short, we're getting to a point where Spieth stands over a six-footer, which is, I believe, like, a 65 to 70%, um, uh, make percentage on the PGA tour, and you really am, are shocked to see it go in.
Um, and that is not healthy, nor is it good, and it's a real problem because early in the year, Mills had a little bit of a run, but the reality is that the putter is the problem, it has been the problem, and it always will be the problem most likely for the rest of his career.
Uh, hit the ball fine this week.
Had some, like, sloppy six hole stretches where he was just hitting really bad shots.
But for the most part, I mean, the ball striking was fine.
Uh, it's, the, the putter's the issue, and it has been the issue for a majority of the last five years, and it's costing him a season right now.
Uh, it's, the season's basically over.
Um, he's only got a few events left, and there's really no signs anything's gonna change on a dime in the coming weeks.
I mean, we have a place that he historically doesn't putt very well at, and then, um, two big tournaments overseas, and, and the putter just doesn't show up in big tournaments.
So, um, yeah, I...
There's not, there's not much positives to take away from this other than, I mean, he has kinda turned into a player that can any week show up with a good golf swing.
Um, but it really doesn't matter if...
