Some of the things that I'm hearing come up for people are things like, oh my gosh, I was part of Greek life.

Am I somehow guilty by association? Um, You know, what if when I was there, I did something that maybe I'm not proud of? Or, you know, am I a bad person because I was or am currently a part of Greek life? And obviously, just because you're part of something doesn't make you responsible for all the things that happen.

Everybody has their own choices to make, no matter who or what they're associated with.

Some people have sexual traumas in their life, not related or related could be to Greek life or outside of that.

And it likes to latch on to things you care about, things you've experienced, whether they're positive or negative.

And I also get a lot of questions around, well, what if I do have a real life trauma and I have OCD? Is it unsafe for me to get treatment for my OCD? Like, do I have to deal with this trauma first or is it going to make my OCD or my trauma worse? And the answer is it's kind of individual in terms of do you need to treat one first versus the other? As somebody who has OCD and CPTSD, for me personally, it was something that I needed to deal with my OCD first.

That's something that is decided by a therapist who can do a proper assessment.
