I think it's probably what made everybody the most angry this week, particularly if you are a woman that's listening to this podcast.
Yeah.
What pissed me off the most this week was finding out that two years ago, 57 Cornell frat students were party and privy to a fucking gang rape, and no one did anything.
Yeah.
Not a fucking thing.
And then...
What pissed me off, almost as much as that, is watching the internet's response.
Because for every one of you and me that is rightfully fucking angry and fucking mortified at this disgusting fucking thing, there's ten of these conservative fucking piss-ants who who've decided that somehow Jane Doe is the aggressor in this whole situation, and that they need to figure out who she is.
Because for the last, I don't know, we're recording this on Friday, 48 hours, the entire conservative ecosphere... is attempting to figure out who Jane Doe is, even though the judge ordered that not to be the case.
And now they think they've figured out who it is, and so all of them are using the same picture and same name, which I am not going to repeat because Jane Doe is Jane Doe, motherfuckers.
But it's disgusting, and it made me the angriest this week.
I think, you know, like I've talked to so many women in my life in the past week, you know, since this is... been a topic and, you know, a lot of them are saying, you know, this happens all the time, everywhere.
I know you made yours and, um, I think mine was mainly focused on, as men, we have to start speaking up because the fragile masculinity and toxic masculinity problem is not going anywhere anytime soon.
We have to start teaching young men that even if it costs you something, standing up for people is the right move every fucking time.
And the thing that frustrates me so much is that the conservative crowd is most of the time the same people that are saying like, we're protectors and we're leaders and we're principled and stuff.
And I've said this in my video, but when are we so principled? When are you so principled? Is it on Sundays when you're in the church pew with the guy you know has been cheating on his wife that you grew up with and you don't want to say anything because it ain't none of your business? Is it when you're sitting around the shop drinking a beer and somebody, you know, that is sitting around there starts talking about how his baby mama is the worst thing since, you know, fucking Hitler because she asked him to help him give their son a bath or change a diaper or whatever, you know? And I mean, there's, There's times where I think all of us have participated in some kind of toxic masculinity.
And I think that's the root of the issue right there is that we let things slide when our buddies are fucking talking poorly about the women in their lives.
