And in the last episode, we figured out that the Manhunter was probably Zoe, the same woman John has been sleeping with.

Meanwhile, John isn't really Hal's trainee.

He's Hal's replacement.

The Guardians want John to take Hal's ring.

Sinestro is trying to manipulate Hal, and neither Hal nor John really trust the Guardians anymore.

The last episode ended with Hal discovering John had been lying about Zoe, so he jumped out a moving car and left John to ride it out into a telephone pole.

John had to call Anton to set up the whole, hey, we're going to turn everything over thing and get him to meet up outside the diner.

We found your man, Hunter, and we're ready to go.
