Azul Energy Awards Contracts for a GoGo Integrated West Hub Development Project by B. Henry Henderson.

Yinsan Production has placed an order with MAN Energy Solutions for the delivery of nine centrifugal compressor trains for gas production, gas injection, gas lift, and export for a floating production storage and offloading vessel.

MAN will also supply two additional screw compressor trains for use as low pressure compression units for the same vessel.

A total of 11 compressor trains will be deployed aboard a vessel operated by Azul Energy and located in the Agogo Field, about 110 miles west of Angola, Africa.

Discovered in 2019, the field lies in Angola Block 15-06 at a water depth of approximately 5,413 feet, where two FPSO vessels currently operate.

Once ready for service, the third FPSO will have production capacity of of up to 120,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, 230 million standard cubic feet per day of gas production, including gas lift, and 215 million standard cubic feet per day of gas injection.

MAN's scope of supply for the FPSO's gas lift, injection, and export application includes nine electrically driven centrifugal compression trains, which consist of three trains with type RB45 compressors at medium pressure systems, three trains with type RB35 compressors as high pressure units, and three trains with two type RB28 compressors, each as high pressure and gas injection units.

The two electrically driven SKUEL510 screw compressor trains will be used as low pressure compression units.

Instead of being flared off, the resulting flash gas will be pressurized by the screw compressors and fed back into the process.

Yinsan Production is a business unit of Malaysia-headquartered Yinsan, a global energy infrastructure and technology company.

Yinsan Production designs, constructs, and operates production assets for the offshore oil and gas industry, and is one of the largest independent FPSO leasing companies globally.

The companies combine their Angolan upstream liquefied natural gas and solar businesses, effectively creating Angola's largest independent equity producer of oil and gas, with more than 200,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of net oil and gas production and 2 million BOE of net resources.

The new FPSO is part of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Development Project, one of the major upstream projects being developed by Azul Energy in Angola.

One converted FPSO with capacity for 120,000 barrels per day of oil production, 230 million standard cubic feet per day of gas injection, and 120,000 barrels per day of water injection.

It will also entail approximately 62 miles of rigid flow lines, 62 miles of flexible flow lines, and 62 miles of umbilicals.

In February 2023, Azul Energy was awarded $7.8 billion in contracts for the Agogo Integrated West Hub development project.
