Agent Brass (Dennis), Agent Bismuth (Millie) and Agent Vermillion (Rob aka Quiddity) investigate a ritualistic murder in Louisiana under the guidance of our Handler (Andy aka Mahatatain). The…
So just as we've had a bit of a gap between sessions, it is May 2012.
You're a newly formed Delta Green team investigating your first case together, which is centred around some ritual murders, though it is not necessarily the ritual murders that is of interest.
There's a couple of key words relating to...
Specifically, the phrase Yellow King and Carcosa were the two phrases that triggered a search by Delta Green's automated software.
You have... been doing some investigation you found a lot of evidence that sort of initially is almost like a not quite routine but a a complicated slightly nasty police investigation and then you've started to find a few things that were starting to get a bit more weird and a bit more weird culminating in the recovery of a copy of uh the play the king in yellow which I believe Agent Brass has placed securely in his possession and not let anyone see.
Though I think the other two are aware you have it.
Yeah.
And you are currently, oh, sorry, the prime suspect, certainly for the police and possibly yourselves, is a former police officer called Rustin Rusty Cole, police detective.
and you've been sort of trying to find him, looking at various locations associated with him, and you discovered that a couple of days ago he had a meet scheduled with a man called Jacob Marlow, who had emailed him with apparent information relating to this cult that he believes is operating in the Louisiana area.
And you went to Jacob Marlow's home, where you found definitely a criminal scene with two dead bodies who you've identified as Marlowe's sons, though someone has removed the shell casings.
Both men were armed, but their weapons don't appear to have been removed.
And they were shot through a, if it was a basement window with, uh, um, it's on, it's on a shot through a basic window and shot them.
Um, uh, Jacob Marlowe himself is not present though.
His vehicle and both son's vehicles are.
Um, so he's, he is missing.
Um, though you have found, um, what you suspect may well be his smartphone.
Both sons had phones on them.
So there's a third phone that you found under that, uh, Asian brass fan under a sofa.
Um, You also found a load of boxes of financial records of what's called the Wellspring Program, which is a sort of Christian mission to help poor, disadvantaged, problematic children, teenagers in the Louisiana area that's heavily backed by members of the Tuttle family, which is one of the two families that certainly you know Rustin Cole believes are instrumental to this conspiracy.
The Tuttle family are the sort of very privileged politically powerful family in Louisiana.
The current governor is a member of the Tuttle family.
There's also a second family called the Childress family who you've been told are very involved in law enforcement and other sort of state roles.
Okay.
