S7 Ep7: Vanessa Ruck: The accident changed things forever!

I was a fit, strong, capable person.

I could do 13 pull-ups in three sets.

I could go kite surfing.

I could jump on a bicycle and do 100 miles just for fun.

And the body that I was then sat in, I couldn't even relate to it.

It was a pathetic, broken mess as far as I was concerned.

The accident, despite two reconstructed body parts and now living with quite a lot of ongoing pain, I'd say the mental health has definitely been the harder side of it to recover from.

I live and manage chronic pain in my right hip now.

It's just a constant thing that's there, and it sucks.

The lady had taken so much from me already.

I could not let her take more.

I hate the word influencer.

It, like, makes my blood kind of do...
