Sean Mueller Closing ACFE Global Interview

Okay, Fraudish fans, we have a wonderful guest today who I had the absolute pleasure of seeing close out the 37th annual ACFE Global.

You know, for if you are a CFE, at the end of the conference, they always have someone who has, well, is a felon.

So and Sean's story is very compelling and we're going to talk about it.

And I reached out to him and we have a funny little story about cars and we'll get into the car.

Funny story.

But first off, welcome to Fraudist, Sean.

And I want to start with if you could have a meal with anyone dead or alive, fraudster.

I'm going with fraudster and they may or may not be convicted because there are fraudsters that have not been convicted.

I'm thinking of maybe Steve Cohen.

Who would you want to have that meal with and why?

Wow.

Several names popped into my head when you said dinner.

All of them.

We can have a party.

But then but then when you said fraudster, my mind went blank.

You know, Gosh, I don't know.

I guess, you know, in recent history, I guess I'd go back to, you know, Richard Nixon and just, you know, try and get inside his mindset.

And now that years have passed and he's had some quiet time to think about his life, you know, how would you feel? I mean, what's your thought process on what you did right now?

Oh, interesting.

I have never, I don't know if I've ever had someone say a politician, but I like that.

I mean, yeah, Watergate.

Okay, that's a good one.

I like it.

Okay, then my next question is, and you may or may not have an opinion on this, but who do you think steals more, men or women?

Oof.

That's tough.

I know, you know, just from listening to your podcast a few times and watching your writing, it turns out that women have more access.

They're in position of trust more than men.

I think it may be true as far as like a dollar amount.

I mean, women may have, you know, they may have been caught more, but, you know, just from my exposure in the financial industry and being around men, it's, it's hard to understand how men are at the top of that list, uh, just because the ego and pride gets involved.

Oh, okay.

Okay.

So now we go to your story.

I want you to give, but I have to believe the

I want you to give your story to the people who didn't have the pleasure of seeing you at the ACFE closing.

And, um, The ACFE closing, I always look forward to.
