The judge sending the jury home again at the Lindsay Clancy murder trial in Massachusetts, but only after responding to a note on day six of deliberations.

I wanna remind you that you are required to follow my instructions on the law as I gave them to you.

Judge William Sullivan repeating instructions on reasonable doubt.

If you evaluate all the evidence and you still have a reasonable doubt remaining, the defendant is entitled to the benefit of that doubt and must be acquitted.

And once the jury went back to deliberating, defense attorney Kevin Reddington telling the judge...

The court has an instruction from the foreperson of that juror that's been working for a week now, saying that there's one juror who refuses to listen to the law that you've given him or her on reasonable doubt

Arguing the judge should consider removing that juror, not just repeating instructions.

But the judge says he's not taking sides.

I don't feel it's appropriate for me to say I agree with one juror or 11.

Instead, asking each juror under oath today if they can follow his instructions.

They're due back tomorrow morning.

Clancy is using an insanity defense in the 2023 killing of her three children, who were five, three and eight months old.
