Gratitude Reflections on Life and Ministry

Now today what I want to do is that I want to slow down long enough and share with you what I am calling gratitude reflections.

Have you ever thought about that word and that phrase, gratitude reflections? Meaning we are going to take a moment today and look back and see what God has done in and look forward to what God may want to do.

I really hope as I share this episode with you on gratitude reflections on life and ministry, and I could have said life and leadership, but most of my ministry and my life has been in the realm of ministry.

So I don't apologize for that.

I believe that I am a leader.

I believe I have done a lot to produce leaders and to develop leaders.

But the bottom line is, I'm ultimately a minister of the gospel, called by Jesus Christ to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all creation in the world.

So today what I want to do is I want to talk to you about these gratitude reflections on life and ministry.

I was reminded this week of Psalm 77, verse 11 and 12, when it says these words, and I quote, I will remember the Lord's works.

Yes, I will remember your ancient wonders.

I will reflect on all that you have done and meditate on your actions.

Now think about those two verses.

We're going to remember the Lord's works and the ancient wonders of what God has done in life.

And also reflect.

That's what I want to talk about.

This gratitude thing.

looking back and reflecting, and listen, meditate, meaning thinking upon it again and again, on your actions.

I want to intentionally today look back, reflect on, recognize God's amazing goodness in life, and be thankful and stand with confidence for the future of my life that God has for me and the life that God has for you.

I really hope and pray that as I do this, that you will duplicate this in your life.

Obviously, your gratitude reflections will not be like mine.

But I'm going to take this opportunity to do this today because I think it's so imperative that as we follow Jesus and try to be what God wants us to be, we need to be people that are overflowing with gratitude.

I have never felt more grateful to God than I feel today in my life.

Here is why I want to talk about this.

Because I'm sure some of you today are saying, hey, why don't you wait until November and do something like that when it's Thanksgiving? Well, this is a little bit deeper than even that.

But it's because of the year 2026.
