[upbeat music] Welcome to Flip Your Script, the podcast from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine that's all about clinicians redefining care through innovation, leadership, and lifestyle medicine.

My name is Dr. Padmaja Patel, and I'm the current president of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and serve as chief medical officer of Nudge Health.

The future of healthcare isn't being written in policy briefs or press releases.

It's being written by clinicians who dare to prescribe differently, by leaders who rebuild systems from ground up, by patients who reclaim their health when someone finally gave them the right tools.

Each episode of Flip Your Script brings you five key takeaways from the people living that story, because the best way to change medicine is to hear from those already doing it.

She practices at Western Wisconsin Health, a rural health clinic and critical access hospital, where she and her team created the Simple Health program.

She's a passionate advocate for rural health and healthcare transformation, and recently completed Dartmouth's Master of Healthcare Delivery Science to better equip herself for responding to those challenges.

Kathleen serves as chief of staff at Western Wisconsin Health, also serves on ACLM's Clinical Practice and Quality Committee, the St. Croix County, Wisconsin Health and Human Services Committee, and the medical director of Lifestyle Medicine and Infection Prevention at Western Wisconsin Health.

In April, Kathleen launched the Rural Health Subgroup of ACLM's Health Initiative.
