When I started to take a look at everything that you had going on, kind of doing a little bit of research, I've seen that your journey has been one for the ages.
Very much so.

Yeah, yeah.
So you've been through a lot.
I want to particularly talk about one book that you wrote called I'm Still Standing.
Okay.
This is going to be one of many books that we discuss because, again, her life story is in all of these books.
And you could take away a lot from each one of these books.
But I'm going to start with I'm Still Standing.
Tell me a little bit about your journey and why you wrote that book and what was the inspiration to write I'm Still Standing.
So first the book started being called Bondage.
Because that's what it was.
That was the description of my first marriage.
It was literally like bonded.
I was like a slave.
It was abusive.
It was neglectful.
It drove me to an edge that I never would have imagined I'd have been in.
So that's what inspired it.
2017, I've been writing poetry since I was six.
So I've always been into writing.
I've been reading since I was like four or five years old.
You know, I've always been into both of those sides.
So we'll get started.
