I think that the wear and tear of just, not the wear and tear, that's not what I'm looking for, but the stress, that's what I should say, of the past couple of weeks leading up to his hip replacement, not just that, but just the stress of life has really taken its toll on me.

Because, you know, you can only go, go, go so long before your body just finally says, if you don't slow down naturally, I'm going to make you slow down.

I've talked about that on this podcast over and over again throughout the many years that we've had it, right? If you are totally depriving your body of calories or fuel or you're pushing your body too much all the time, You're eventually going to be forced to slow down.

And actually Thursday after his surgery, I got that itch in my throat where you go, oh no.

Between and then we are coming off of an eight-week challenge with Fit Women's Weekly.

You guys know that I've been training really hard personally with some goals, and then I was coming off of a cut myself.

So I'm taking this opportunity this week to... dial in on getting some work done on the computer, but slowing down as much as I can.

So just that reminder to all of you guys, if you don't slow down and you're always going 100 miles per hour, your body will eventually force you to slow down in one way or another.

And I'd rather get some sort of summertime cold like I have now than to have some sort of injury where I'm going to be out of commission for weeks, if not months.

If you're new to the podcast, I had plantar fasciitis about two years ago and it was severe enough that I couldn't run for about six months and I never want to be in that position again.

So I will take having a summertime flu for a week or two over that and saying, okay, I guess I'm going to hydrate.

I guess I'm going to take the foot off of the pedal for a couple of days and let my body fully recover and just focus on breathing, and reducing as much stress as I possibly can.
