Sandra works in change management transformation, and she's also a researcher and someone who's walked the path of being childless, not by choice.

Recently, as part of her degree in psychology, she completed a study exploring the experiences of involuntary childless mid-life women who are living in the pronatalist state of Ireland, a country which places such a high societal value on family and women's ability to have children.

In this episode, we talk about her own fertility journey, what inspired her research, some key findings of the study, what she's learned about loss, identity, and growth, and the lessons she hopes can guide and support other women navigating fertility challenges, loss, and life without children.

As always, please take care as you listen, as this episode includes discussion of infertility and pregnancy loss.

And you'll find support resources and helpful links in the show notes if you need them.

Neither of us are medical professionals, and this episode isn't intended as medical advice.

Sandra, thank you so much for joining me today, and for being so open to sharing your story and the really important work that you've done.
Thanks, Dee.
Lovely to be here with you.
