who Perky has just turned off his camera and muted his mic so it's just me and you Mas in all seriousness moving as we said in terms of Division 1B Nina relegated from Division 1A and we have seen University of Maynooth Barnhall promoted after a long fight to get promoted from Division 2A but they are back in Division 1B and what an achievement it's been for them we spoke about Dublin dominance in Division 1A in terms of Division 1B we had obviously seen Estonians in the top four last year and Gary Owen losing in a promotion final promotion semi-final excuse me against UCD but um in terms of the the balance in division 1b there are plenty of contenders for the top four along with the title we is it fair to say you don't expect to see a a horse get way out in front of the field early days um

yeah potentially not um you know you i suppose you you'd have to be impressed with trinity wouldn't you um the way that they went about their business last season.

So for those that don't know them, just imagine the main characters in The Hangover.

which one is alan although there's a couple of them that look like they're in shutter island as well and mainly mainly lucal but um university college cork as we said um survived that um relegation final against shannon last year they take their place in division 1b johnny murphy still at the helm in nace they play against ucc this weekend will be very interesting to see how they go it's a bit of a jekyll and hyde season as uh last year as we said with nace um you'd really don't know what you're going to get so they'll hope to hit the ground a few players back in as well from their travels Nina Ormond with a lot of departures and some heavy recruitment as well so it will be very interesting to see how they go they face off against Highfield this weekend who themselves have recruited well under James Cronin who worked some serious magic and has got great buy-in from his squad this weekend so it will be very very interesting derbies between Cronin and Burke and In terms of Estonians, as you said there, and Shaw's Bridge, and we've seen they've been a real juggernaut from 2C the whole way up to Division 1 being to get into the playoffs last year.

We did see Dave Whitten, unfortunately, do, I think it was his ACL, I'm hoping he's back fully fit because he is a very important cog in the Estonians' wheel there.

There is continuing speculation, as you heard from Lisa in the papers this morning, about excise duty, carbon tax and more.

We've teamed up, as I say, with Clannachilty Park Hotel.

Now, on the front of the Irish Examiner this morning, UCC, they've called on landlords in the area to cut their rates.

And Seán O'Riordan is writing this morning that UCC has written to a number of private landlords in Cork City, urging them to reduce rental prices.

pointing out a number of properties on a walking distance of the university have a 40% vacancy rate.

Now, John O'Halloran is the UCC president and he said the college is urging landlords to cut prices to try to address its current accommodation crisis.

It's already had a successful outcome with a number of property owners.

The university currently houses 1,600 students in its own accommodation and offers some of the cheapest rents in the city.

This may include buying up privately owned properties nearby, as well as developing some underutilised sections of buildings owned by the university.
